AIR REPUBLIQ AIRLINES CORPORATION, soon to soar the Philippine skies. Air Republiq Airlines started operations in 2011 as an arm of South Phoenix Airlines to cater the Islands of Batanes linking them to different major cities of Luzon. It uses the Piper Navajo fleet for this purpose. Operating with interline agreement with Cyclone Airways it flies under operators certification of Cyclone airways.
Catering to the Ivatans it has been serving the islands connecting Basco to Laoag Tuguegarao and linking Basco to the nearby town of Itbayat.
In the year 2013 the company has acquired a BAe Jetstream 41 on lease purchase basis and will utilize this aircraft to connect Manila to several under served routes in Philippines. Another BAe Jetstream 41 is expected to be acquired by the first quarter of 2014 and another by the third quarter of 2014. The airline also plans to procure its own Air operators Certificate from CAAP by 2014 and are looking to start international flights to Taiwan and Malaysia by 2015.
